Protect Against Over-Development

My family chose to make RPV our home because of how the City feels. We aren’t over-developed and that is what makes us unique.  Oftentimes, proposed projects just don’t fit with RPV and may not only take away from the natural landscape, but also may negatively affect the quality of life for our residents.
When those projects are brought forward, the City should first listen to the resident’s concerns, then carefully consider all of the elements of the project to ensure they truly will enhance the beauty of our landscape and not detract from it. After all these elements are assessed, only then should the informed decision be made that will have the best long-term implications for our community.  I believe that protecting the “feel” of RPV needs constant monitoring and I am not afraid to fight against over-development.
